Seeking Biological Causes for ME/CFS

Here’s another article by the Wall Street Journal’s Amy Dockser Marcus. This is an excellent in-depth article on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and it shows that not only is Amy Dockser Marcus very interested in the illness but that she has done her homework.

The article contains a lot of information on the fascinating research being done on ME/CFS, such as identifying pathogens, creating diagnostic tests,  studying viruses in patients with the syndrome, looking for infectious agents, and more.

Despite the fact that coverage on the new human retrovirus, XMRV, has been unfavourable lately, it seems that the media has remained interested in ME/CFS. This is great news because it’s important for people like Amy Dockser Marcus to keep writing and reporting about ME/CFS.
